With breathtaking views across Galway Bay and the enchanting Burren limestone landscape, this 4-star country house hotel provides a haven of peace and tranquillity near Ballyvaughan, County Clare. In perfect harmony with its surroundings, Gregans Castle is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds. Inside, the hotel features fine antique furniture and paintings together with a careful selection of modern Irish art. Owners Simon Haden and Frederieke McMurray manage Gregans. They aim to provide traditional Irish hospitality, good food from excellent local organic produce, and peace and quiet for a relaxing stay.

Hotel amenities include extensive gardens with a walking trail; bicycles and wellies for guests use; croquet; massage therapist; and a walking guide.
With a commanding view of the Ballyvaughan valley and Galway Bay, the dining room is the ideal setting for a relaxing evening meal. Choose from the extensive dinner menu, with a good choice of fresh local foods, carefully prepared by Chef Mickael Viljanen and his team. Organic Burren Lamb and Beef are specialities, as is locally caught fish and shellfish from the Atlantic Ocean. Most of the vegetables and herbs are grown organically around Ballyvaughan. The Dining Room is open for breakfast from 08:00 to 10:00, or earlier by arrangement, and dinner from 18:00 to 20:30 daily. An Early Evening Menu is also available from 18:00 to 19:00. Our ever expanding and extensive wine list features wines from every continent and includes a large selection of organic and bio-dynamic wines. On some evenings a harpist or pianist will entertain you during dinner. The dress code is smart casual. The Corkscrew Bar: The turf fire is always glowing in the informal and relaxing Corkscrew Bar. Enjoy an apéritif or a pint of stout here before dinner while browsing through the evening's dinner menu. Interesting food is also served here at lunchtime. Later in the day, afternoon tea can be enjoyed after a days sightseeing or hiking on The Burren. Lunch for private parties (with a minimum of 20 people) can be arranged on request.
